IT System Administrator

Project overview

For a demanding project in Munich, we are looking for an experienced IT System Administrator.

The position is limited to 9 months+ and offers flexible remote options.

Your tasks include the operation and administration of application and infrastructure components as well as the planning and execution of system migrations. You will monitor systems, perform functional tests, and ensure ongoing operation. In addition, you will install, configure, and update applications, analyze and resolve errors, and provide technical 2nd-level support. You will coordinate with manufacturers and 3rd-level support and create and maintain operational and system documentation.

We expect sound knowledge in the administration of Windows and Linux servers as well as experience with network topologies, proxies, firewalls, and load balancing. Knowledge in the administration of Tomcat, JBoss, and IIS is required. You should have experience with at least one database (MS SQL, PostgreSQL, or MySQL) and be familiar with ITIL as well as IT security and BSI basic protection.

Experience in application operation, deployment, and technical support, very good German language skills, and good English language skills are expected. An analytical, structured, and independent way of working as well as team and communication skills are essential.
