Java Fullstack Developer Backend Focus

Project overview

For our client, we are looking for a Java Fullstack Developer with a focus on backend, starting no later than December.

Responsibilities

• Development of performant and maintainable backend services with Spring Boot
• Design and implementation of REST APIs for Angular-based frontends
• Connection and integration of databases and third-party systems
• Containerization and deployment of applications using Docker and Kubernetes
• Implementation of business requirements in close cooperation with product owners and developers
• Ensuring code quality through tests, reviews, and CI/CD processes

Requirements

• Several years of experience in the development of modern web and backend applications with Java (from version 17), Spring Boot, and Angular.
• Sound knowledge in the development and connection of REST APIs, database access, and transaction management using Spring Data JPA/JDBC, Hibernate, and SQL databases.
• Experience with security concepts in the Java environment, especially OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and Keycloak.
• Confident handling of containerized application landscapes based on Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm, as well as experience in operating applications in Kubernetes environments.
• Knowledge in the areas of monitoring, logging, and observability, especially with Grafana, Prometheus, AlertManager, and ELK/OpenSearch.
• Experience in agile software development projects with Git, Gradle, IntelliJ, Jira/Confluence, automated tests (JUnit, Mockito, Spring Boot Test Slices), and ideally Test Driven Development (TDD).
