Dear Sir or Madam,

We are currently looking for a Java Software Developer (m/f/d) for one of our direct clients in the public sector.

Project Background

As part of an IT project for public administration, an existing Java-based application will be further developed and technically supported.

The focus is on implementing functional requirements, further developing existing software components, and ensuring a stable and maintainable application architecture.

Development takes place in the Java Enterprise environment using established technologies and frameworks. The focus is particularly on backend development, integration of web services, and working with relational databases.

• Start: 01/31/2027 (± 2 weeks)
• Duration: 12 months (+ option to extend by another 12 months)
• Remote/Onsite: 80% Remote / 20% Onsite in Munich
• Utilization: approx. 50% (100 person-days)

• Further development and maintenance of existing Java applications
• Analysis, conception, and implementation of functional and technical requirements
• Development and adaptation of applications with Java
• Implementation and further development of user interfaces with JSF and PrimeFaces

• At least 5 years of practical professional experience in Java software development
• Demonstrable participation in at least one large Java project with a total project effort of at least 5 developer years (e.g., development by 5 developers within one year or a comparable combination of team size and project duration). The project end must be no more than 5 years ago.
• At least 2 years of in-depth practical experience with the following technologies and frameworks (each within the last 2 years):
• Eclipse or IntelliJ as development environment
• JSF and PrimeFaces in conjunction with MVC
• JUnit for the development and execution of unit tests
• Hibernate as a persistence framework
• Microsoft SQL Server
• JPA (Java Persistence API)
• Maven for build and dependency management
• SOAP and REST for the development and integration of web services
• At least 2 years of practical experience in IT projects or IT services in the public sector (within the last 5 years)
• Experience in collaboration in a project team of at least 3 people with a project duration of at least 6 months
• Very good German language skills in speaking and writing (at least C1 level)
• Very good self-organization and independent working style
• Strong communication skills and initiative
• Ability to point out technical challenges and potential problems early on
