For an exciting project with our client, we are looking for a motivated Junior Python Developer / Data Scientist.

Responsibilities

• Support in the further development of an existing optimization use case in the area of driver dispatch
• Participation in development and implementation
• Support in the implementation of rules and constraints for optimal driver dispatch
• Development and adaptation of Python-based solutions for data analysis
• Analysis and preparation of complex data structures
• Execution of tests, validations, and error analyses of existing algorithms
• Collaboration with experienced developers, data scientists, and business departments

• Initial practical experience in software development with Python, ideally at least 1 year
• Good knowledge of Python and initial experience with Pandas, NumPy, and SciPy
• Basic knowledge of Data Science and data analysis
• Basic understanding of mathematical modeling and optimization methods
• Analytical thinking skills and interest in complex mathematical problems
• Independent and structured way of working
• Good German language skills for project communication
• Initial experience with optimization solvers such as HiGHS, Gurobi, CPLEX, or CBC
• Basic knowledge of Pyomo, PuLP, or Google OR-Tools
• Understanding of Linear Programming (LP) and Mixed-Integer Linear Programming (MILP)
• Initial practical experience in the development of mathematical algorithms
• Knowledge in Model Validation & Testing
• Initial experience with resource planning, scheduling, or dispatch systems
• Completed degree or ongoing Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable field
