Kubernetes Engineer

Project overview

Within a small team, you will be involved in the operation, maintenance, and evolution of Kubernetes platforms and associated tools.

You will contribute to the smooth running of Kubernetes, CI/CD, and automation environments, while participating in the continuous improvement of the platforms and team practices.

Profile Sought

We are looking for an experienced, autonomous profile capable of taking a step back from technical issues. At least 7 years of experience in system administration, Kubernetes platforms, or similar environments is desired.

• Ensure the operation and maintenance of Kubernetes platforms and their associated components.
• Administer and evolve Kubernetes clusters, particularly in a Rancher environment.
• Deploy, maintain, and monitor workloads.
• Participate in RUN activities and technical evolutions of the platforms.
• Diagnose and resolve application and infrastructure incidents.
• Maintain and evolve continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
• Automate and industrialize operational tasks with Ansible and GitLab.
• Participate in evolution projects, capacity planning, and performance improvement.
• Monitor activities, tasks, and associated reporting.
• Write and maintain technical, administration, and operational documentation.
• Support and train team members and relevant users.
• Analyze problems in their entirety and be proactive in technical choices.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and the collective progress of the team.
• Mastery of Kubernetes and Rancher:
• Cluster administration and operation.
• Workload deployment and maintenance.
• Incident diagnosis and resolution.
• Application and infrastructure troubleshooting.
• Mastery of CI/CD environments:
• GitLab and GitLab Pipelines.
• GitFlow.
• Management and evolution of deployment pipelines.
• Mastery of automation:
• Ansible.
• Industrialization of recurring operations.
• Automation of deployments and administration tasks.
• Good systems skills:
• Linux, particularly in operation, maintenance, and upgrades.

• Good network knowledge in a Kubernetes environment:

• Desired start date as soon as possible.
• Mission planned for approximately one year.
