Job description

International luxury group seeks a Lead Architect for Devices & Digital Workplace to define and deploy the global strategy for workstation and mobile device management.

Project overview

For one of our clients, a major international player in the Luxury sector, we are looking for a Lead Architect – Devices & Digital Workplace to define and support the deployment of the workstation and mobile terminal management strategy on a global scale for the Group.

You will work in a complex and multi-entity technical environment, composed of several dozen Workspace ONE tenants and a heterogeneous fleet of workstations and mobile terminals (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android), from various manufacturers (Dell, Apple, Zebra…).

As a true technical expert, you will define the architectural directions, support the harmonization of the environments of the different entities, and manage the evolution of Devices services. You will also play a key role in the transformation of a Group shared service, operated by an external partner, with challenges related to automation, service quality improvement, and cost optimization.

Your missions:

Define and manage the Group's Devices strategy and its technological roadmap: technological watch, decision-making, evolution of existing platforms, and development of new services.

Define and deploy Modern Management strategies: modern workstation management, automated deployments, endpoint security, application integration, and lifecycle management.

Ensure the technical management of the partner responsible for Group shared services and support their transformation: integration and evolution of existing services, continuous improvement, automation, and cost optimization.

Manage the harmonization of Workspace ONE environments across the Group: tenant convergence, standardization of application personas, ITSM integration, environment security, and cross-functional reporting.

Define and standardize Windows system images and associated deployment processes: OS configurations, security baselines, USB key or network boot deployment, application integration, and lifecycle management.

Manage Devices architecture evolution projects: OS migrations, installation process optimization, and transition from GPOs to configuration baselines and profiles.

Strengthen terminal security in collaboration with the Group's CISO teams: endpoint protection, vulnerability management, and compliance with security standards.

Lead the community of IT teams from different entities and promote the adoption of Group standards: organize webinars and technical meetings, participate in service review and steering committees.

Act as a technical referent and L4 escalation point for complex incidents or major crises.

Develop the autonomy of first-level support teams through a shift-left approach: knowledge base enrichment, skills transfer, tool improvement, and automation.

Ensure the quality and updating of reference technical documentation: CMDB, tools, contact repositories, and escalation matrices, with particular attention to data automation and reliability.

Technical environment:

Terminal management: Workspace ONE (workstations and mobiles), in a multi-tenant environment across the Group.

Operating systems: Windows, macOS, iOS, Android.

Hardware fleet: Dell, Apple, Zebra, and other Android manufacturers.

Technical ecosystem: directories and associated services, ITSM tools, and endpoint security solutions.

Profile sought

You have at least 8 years of experience in Devices engineering and architecture, with proven experience in defining target architectures, technical strategies, and roadmaps, ideally in large-scale international environments.

You have a true architect's mindset, capable of taking a step back, guiding technological choices, and challenging partners and vendors.

You master Modern Management approaches, automated deployment strategies, and workstation lifecycle management processes.

You have in-depth expertise in Windows and macOS environments: system images, security baselines, transition from GPOs to configuration profiles, and automation.

You know Workspace ONE or master an equivalent UEM solution, particularly Intune, with the ability to quickly ramp up on Workspace ONE.

You master scripting and automation techniques (PowerShell, Python, Shell, API).

You have solid endpoint security skills: Zero Trust architectures, terminal protection, vulnerability management, and compliance frameworks.

You have experience in managing technical service providers and suppliers, conducting audits, and monitoring service quality.

You demonstrate technical leadership, autonomy, and proactivity, with the ability to unite cross-functional IT teams and communicate with international stakeholders.

Fluent English, both spoken and written, is essential. Proficiency in French and other languages is an asset.

Appreciated skills:

Concrete experience with Workspace ONE on Windows and macOS environments, beyond just mobile device management, is a major asset.

Experience in migrating or consolidating UEM platforms is appreciated.

Knowledge of the Luxury or Retail sector is a plus.
