Mission Context

As part of strengthening its Data capabilities and accelerating its transformation projects, an industrial group is looking for a Lead Data / Data Delivery Manager to lead and structure its Data & Business Intelligence activities.

The mission takes place in a complex technical environment, characterized by multiple information systems, heterogeneous data sources, and a high demand for reporting and operational performance indicators.

The objective is twofold: to manage a human-sized Data team and to accelerate the availability of reliable, usable, and valuable data for the business units.

The consultant will be involved in management, technical coordination, and delivery aspects.

We are looking for an experienced Lead Data professional with a dual technical and managerial skillset, capable of quickly taking charge of a complex Data environment.

Essential Skills:

Experience in an industrial or multi-site environment will be a significant asset.

This mission is for a profile capable of combining technical leadership, close management, and a strong delivery orientation.

The main challenge will be to transform a complex and fragmented Data environment into a more structured system capable of quickly providing reliable indicators to operational teams.

We are looking for a hands-on profile, capable of understanding technical challenges, driving teams forward, and delivering concrete results.

• Supervise and support a small team of Data specialists.
• Organize, prioritize, and coordinate the team's activities.
• Structure delivery processes and ensure commitments are met.
• Support the skill development of team members.
• Ensure coordination with IT teams and business stakeholders.
• Lead the collection, consolidation, and integration of data from multiple information systems.
• Support data harmonization and reliability efforts.
• Contribute to the optimization of data pipelines and flows.
• Ensure the consistency, quality, and availability of data used for reporting.
• Collaborate with technical teams on architecture choices and Data platform evolution.
• Lead the design and delivery of dashboards and performance indicators.
• Structure and prioritize the numerous reporting requests from business units.
• Support the definition and standardization of KPIs.
• Ensure the reliability and relevance of the data presented.
• Industrialize and optimize reporting production.
• Define and monitor the operational roadmap for Data projects.
• Identify dependencies, anticipate risks, and remove blockers.
• Ensure regular communication on work progress.
• Act as the primary contact for business and IT teams on Data topics.
• Reconcile short-term operational needs with medium-term structuring objectives.
• Microsoft Azure: Cloud Data environment.
• Azure Databricks: data processing, transformation, and exploitation.
• Power BI: visualization, reporting, and dashboards.
• Qlik: Business Intelligence and data analysis.
• Multiple ERPs: integration, consolidation, and harmonization of data from heterogeneous systems.
• Proven experience as a Lead Data, Data Manager, Data Engineering Lead, or Data Delivery Manager.
• Experience in managing or supervising a Data team.
• Good command of the Microsoft Azure ecosystem and Databricks.
• Solid knowledge of Business Intelligence tools, particularly Power BI.
• Experience in integrating and consolidating data from multiple ERPs.
• Ability to manage a large volume of business requests and prioritize deliverables.
• Good understanding of data quality, governance, and industrialization issues.
• Fluent English required, both spoken and written.
• Leadership and ability to unite a team.
• Solid technical background and ability to challenge architectural choices.
• Pragmatic, operational, and results-oriented approach.
• Excellent communication skills with business units.
• Autonomy and ability to operate in a complex environment.
• Sense of organization and prioritization.
• Duration: 9 months.
• Location: Paris / Orléans, with presence to be organized between the two sites.
