Our client in the Banking and Finance sector is looking for a Lead Software Engineer H/F

Mission Description:

As a Tech Lead, take charge of scoping and technical studies, manage delivery with Product Managers, and contribute to the technical vision with the Engineering Manager and the Tech Lead of the other team. Be the point of contact for agent development and strengthen technical quality primarily through code reviews, scoping, and arbitration, rather than through sustained direct code contribution.

• Scope technical responses to business needs with Product Managers and the banking capabilities provider group; conduct or delegate studies, explain options and trade-offs, and share arbitration decisions.
• Manage delivery with Product Managers: track progress, dependencies, and risks, and adjust the plan.
• Drive the technical vision with the Engineering Manager around hexagonal architecture, DDD, standards, and technical debt, in alignment with the other team and chapters.
• Make code review a lever for quality and knowledge transfer, including for generated code produced with agents; contribute occasionally to code through pair programming, PoCs, and structuring topics.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and cross-functional rituals related to architecture, security, chapters, and guilds.
• Ensure a pragmatic testing strategy (70% unit, 20% integration, 10% E2E), robust APIs, reliable CI/CD, and short feedback loops.
• Strengthen the team's operational mastery of AWS: supervision, alerting, incident management, and runbooks.
• Evolve agent development practices and the use of Claude Code, structure usable context for agents (documentation, ADRs, deposit instructions), develop team skills, and measure impact.
• Provide direct and regular feedback, address team-specific issues, develop points of contact, and progressively delegate studies and scoping.
• Contribute to career paths and recruitment with the Engineering Manager, and report human risks beyond their scope to them.
• Disseminate decisions with their context and reasoning, maintain structuring documentation, and serve as a technical interface with product, technical, architecture, security, and compliance stakeholders.
• Lead effective technical rituals, including tech syncs, design reviews, and post-mortems.
