Linux / Oracle Unified Directory (OUD) Engineer

Project overview

For our client, we are looking for an experienced specialist for Linux-based directory and network services with a focus on Oracle Unified Directory (OUD). The focus is on the conception, implementation, and continuous development of LDAP/OUD directory services, as well as DNS, DHCP, and NTP services under Linux, including third-level support.

Furthermore, the position includes the integration and migration of corresponding services within new customer projects, the automation of administration and monitoring, and the further development of security and authorization concepts in a regulatory-influenced financial environment.

• Conception, implementation, and further development of LDAP or Oracle Unified Directory (OUD) directory services
• Conception and operation of DNS, DHCP, and NTP network services under Linux
• Execution of third-level support for directory and network services
• Planning, integration, and migration of directory and network services within new customer projects
• Development and adaptation of programs and tools for automation, administration, and monitoring
• Conception and further development of existing security and authorization concepts
• Consideration of regulatory requirements in the financial environment
• Very good knowledge of Oracle Unified Directory (OUD) or LDAP-based directory services
• Sound knowledge of Red Hat Linux
• Experience with BIND DNS
• Experience in the conception, implementation, and administration of directory and network services under Linux
• Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, and NTP
• Experience in third-level support
• Experience with Meinberg systems in the area of NTP/PTP
• Experience with Infoblox Appliances for DNS/DHCP
• Knowledge of adjacent Microsoft Windows services, especially Active Directory and DNS
• Experience with the automation and monitoring of infrastructure and directory services
• Experience with security and authorization concepts in a regulated financial environment
• Experience with migration and integration of complex directory and network services
• Structured and independent way of working
• Strong analytical skills for complex infrastructure and support topics
• Quality and security awareness when dealing with business-critical IT infrastructures
• Ability to independently handle third-level support and project topics
