Assignment description
The developer will be part of the BI team (3 developers) focusing on the control room BI environment (Cognos Analytics with DataStage ETL). This team is responsible for retrieving data from various systems and translating it into valuable insights for the control rooms.
The challenge lies primarily in complexity and technology. We are looking for someone with extensive knowledge of databases, data warehousing, and DataStage. Many new data sources need to be incorporated into our database to create new information products. Consider how we can plot data from 112, telephony, and the incident system against each other to gain complete insight into the processing time of a report. We want this to be as real-time as possible, and this is precisely the knowledge (e.g., receiving PUSH data in DataStage) we are looking for.
For this assignment, we are seeking a professional with at least 3 years of experience with databases and data warehousing (DWH), specifically focused on converting or expanding existing PULL databases to a PUSH methodology. The emphasis is on knowledge and experience with PUSH, where data is actively supplied rather than requested. You will play an important role in the complex backend transformation, where the existing infrastructure is adapted to the new way of data exchange.
