LMS Datastage Specialist (Contract)

Project overview

The specialist will participate in the BI team that develops and manages the control room BI environment (Cognos Analytics with DataStage ETL).

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Setting up and maintaining the IBM DataStage environment
• Setting up and maintaining the IBM Cognos Analytics environment
• Building and maintaining ETL jobs in DataStage
• Monitoring DataStage via the Operation Console
• Preparing and executing deployments
• Creating impact analyses for changes in data deliveries
• Rebuilding ETL processes and databases for both PUSH and PULL data
• Connecting new source databases
• Providing support during disruptions
• Setting up error monitoring
• Writing documentation and guiding colleagues
• Minimum 3 years of experience with DataStage ETL
• Minimum 3 years of experience with Cognos Analytics
• Minimum 3 years of knowledge of databases and data warehousing, specifically focused on combining PUSH and PULL methodology
• Knowledge of relational databases
• Knowledge of IBM Infosphere Information Services, IBM Framework Manager and IBM Gateway
• Familiarity with Windows Server and Windows SQL Server
• Familiarity with Dbeaver and XML
• Experience within the control room domain, for example 112 or GMS, is a plus
