Project overview

Context

A key player in distribution and consumer goods is undertaking a major retail transformation program, focused on migrating its in-store checkout solution. The EMEA region covers 8 business regions across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. France is the first region to deploy the new solution in 2027, with country deployments planned for 2028, the roadmap for which is yet to be defined. You will manage the governance and orchestration of the deployment for the Retail Zone.

• Structure a solid management framework for the 2027 France deployment, while laying the foundations for the 2028 country deployments.
• Ensure a two-way interface between the zone, France, and the Global level, with both business and technical perspectives.
• Align Central, Zone, and France teams on all key phases: localization, testing, training, deployment, and post-go-live monitoring.
• Prepare for industrialization post-2027 by reconciling global methodologies with the local business imperatives of each region.
• Provide a clear vision of progress, risks, decisions, and action plans, including to Top Management.
• Simplify collaboration between business, Finance, IT, and retail, by making topics understandable and actionable.
• Define, organize, and lead the governance cadence: meetings, agendas, minutes, action tracking, decision logs, and monitoring routines.
• Centralize and pace store deployments across the zone.
• Consolidate and communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and decisions, with regular recaps for Top Management.
• Coordinate interactions between Central, Zone, and France teams, ensuring alignment, escalation of critical issues, and resolution of open topics.
• Represent the zone to France and Global, from both a business and technical standpoint.
• Support key phases: localization, testing, training, deployment, and post-go-live.
• Translate complex operational or system topics into clear, actionable next steps for business, Finance, IT, and retail.
• Anticipate and structure the 2028 country deployments and prepare for industrialization in the zone, coordinating local needs.

• Start date: January 4, 2027, for a renewable 3-month duration.
• Full-time in Paris, with 1 day of remote work per week.
• French and English required for communication with local teams and the Global level.
