M365 Business Central Consultant - Financial Accounting

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced freelance consultant for the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central in the area of financial accounting. This role will be crucial for ensuring a go-live with tested processes, grown key users, and an orderly first month-end closing. The consultant will work closely with the implementation partner and report to the functional project management. Requirements include in-depth knowledge of financial accounting and at least 5 years of professional experience in relevant projects.

Responsibilities

• Answering technical questions from the financial accounting teams.
• Reconciling workshop results with system settings.
• Preparing and accompanying test cases and documenting errors.
• Supporting key users with case studies.
• Contributing to the transition concept for the year-end closing.
• Accompanying the go-live and the first month-end closings.
• Independently performing simple settings after coordination.

Requirements

Desirable Knowledge:

• At least 5 years of experience in consulting in financial accounting with Business Central or Dynamics NAV.
• At least 3 successful implementation projects with go-live, including at least one in Business Central.
• Knowledge of core financial accounting processes in Business Central.
• Familiarity with German tax law in Business Central.
• Experience with transitions, especially for year-end closing.
• Fluent German language skills, both written and spoken.
• Knowledge of Continia Document Capture and Continia Banking.
• Familiarity with accounting practices in the social economy sector.
• Experience with XML interfaces to billing software.
• Merging companies in Business Central.
• Knowledge of MACH financial software.
• Basic knowledge of Power BI for reporting from Business Central.

Project details

The assignment is predominantly remote, with required on-site appointments in Saxony for training and go-live.
