SAP FI Consultant | IFRS 18 & Foreign Currency Valuation

Project overview

For a current client project, we are looking for an experienced SAP FI Consultant with knowledge in the area of IFRS 18 and the implementation of foreign currency valuations in SAP.

The focus is particularly on the functional-technical implementation of a detailed booking of foreign currency valuations, taking into account the classic foreign currency valuation or, if applicable, the Advanced Foreign Currency Valuation.

Furthermore, other requirements related to IFRS 18 and the corresponding adjustments to SAP financial processes may arise.

We are looking for a consultant who understands the functional requirements from accounting and can independently support or carry out the necessary SAP FI configuration and implementation.

• Analysis and evaluation of functional requirements related to IFRS 18
• Consulting on mapping requirements in SAP FI
• Conception and implementation of a detailed booking of foreign currency valuations
• Analysis and evaluation of the existing Classic Foreign Currency Valuation
• Review and, if necessary, implementation of Advanced Foreign Currency Valuation
• Configuration and adjustment of relevant SAP FI functions and booking logics
• Coordination with business departments regarding accounting requirements
• Support in the technical and functional validation of implemented solutions
• If necessary, taking over further SAP FI adjustments in the IFRS 18 context
• Current consultant profile, preferably in English
• Earliest possible availability
• Possible utilization (Fulltime / Parttime)
• Desired remote hourly rate
• Brief description of experience with SAP FI and Foreign Currency Valuation
• Information on IFRS 18 knowledge or relevant IFRS projects
• Information on whether experience exists with Classic Valuation, Advanced Foreign Currency Valuation, or both methods

Requirements

Required Knowledge and Experience:

Particularly Desirable:

• Sound experience in consulting and implementing SAP FI
• Very good knowledge in the area of Foreign Currency Valuation
• Practical experience with Classic Foreign Currency Valuation and/or Advanced Foreign Currency Valuation
• Experience in configuring SAP FI booking processes and valuation logics
• Good understanding of financial accounting, financial reporting, and valuation processes
• Ability to independently translate functional requirements into SAP solutions
• Very good English skills for project communication
• Knowledge and project experience related to IFRS 18
• Experience with IFRS-related adjustments in SAP FI
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance
• Experience in designing differentiated booking and valuation logics
• Knowledge in collaborating with international finance teams
