Management Accountant
Remote | £500 per day (Inside IR35) | 6-Month Contract
Government client is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to support financial operations, reporting, and compliance activities. Working remotely, you will be responsible for producing management accounts, payroll administration, VAT returns, balance sheet reconciliations, forecasting, and supporting month-end/year-end processes.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Manage payroll using Xero Payroll and ensure timely PAYE and pension submissions.
- Lead IR35 and Off-Payroll Working compliance activities.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Support month-end, year-end, and audit requirements.
- Maintain accurate financial records within Xero.
- Identify and implement process and control improvements.
Requirements
Contract: 6 months | £500/day | Inside IR35 | Fully Remote.

- Proven Management Accountant experience.
- Strong knowledge of payroll, VAT, PAYE, pensions, and IR35.
- Experience using Xero and Xero Payroll.
- Excellent analytical, reconciliation, and reporting skills.
