What will you do

As a mathematics teacher at ROC van Amsterdam, you will guide mbo students from the Security and HTV programs towards their diplomas. You will provide mathematics education that is understandable, relevant, and practice-oriented, so students immediately see how they use mathematics in their future work within enforcement, police, fire department, DJI, or the security industry.

You will collaborate with colleagues from the Safety College in Amsterdam Southeast. Within this team, you will ensure well-organized education that aligns with practice and the students' world of experience. You will help students grow in knowledge, skills, and self-confidence. This makes this role attractive: you don't just teach, but you visibly contribute to their future in the security domain.

Where you will work

MBO College Southeast is the entrepreneurial college. A school for everyone; from entry-level to level 4, with attention to the individual. Training for the labor market or progression to HBO. There is a strong connection with the Amsterdam Southeast district, its residents, and businesses. These range from local entrepreneurs to leading multinationals. The range of vocational training is broad. From economic, commercial, service, and ICT training to training for uniformed professions. Our students come from all over the world, and the college is located in the middle of a busy business center.

The focus is on entrepreneurship: developing entrepreneurial, personal skills is woven into the curriculum. There is room for new stories, offering opportunities, thinking inclusively, and especially doing.

The following client-specific conditions apply to this assignment for the client ROC van Amsterdam-Flevoland or VoVA:

• Flevoland provides secondary vocational education at four levels within fourteen educational domains. ROC van Amsterdam offers over 300 different programs, and ROC Flevoland offers about 130 programs. Secondary vocational education is provided at the various mbo colleges. ROC van Amsterdam
• Flevoland has a total of twelve mbo colleges in Amsterdam, Amstelveen, Hoofddorp, Hilversum, Almere, and Lelystad. The roc offers education to 36,000 mbo students, 3,300 students in secondary education, and 6,500 participants in other education (including integration and adult education). In total, approximately 4,000 employees work at the roc.

• The transfer period for flexible workers is 1,600 hours.
• Invoicing is based on billable hours.
• Indexation does not apply.
• The supplier may not propose a ZZP'er unless ROCvAF or VoVA has explicitly given permission.
• A valid Certificate of Conduct (VOG) is required for every placement. The VOG must be screened for code 60, education. The costs for this are borne by the supplier and must be included in the rate.
• In case of termination of an assignment by ROCvAF or VOvA, a notice period of 30 calendar days applies, and in case of force majeure, immediate termination applies.
