Are you an experienced Scrum Master who can maintain direction in complex administrative environments? Can you create calm, connect interests, and successfully guide teams when projects are under pressure?
Then we are looking for you.
Your role
You operate in an environment with multiple clients, diverse interests, and a complex administrative context. You are able to connect opposing interests, actively manage expectations, and, when necessary, discuss clear choices. You create calm, overview, and predictability, especially when projects are under pressure. Scrum and Agile seem simple, but their application within an organization with a traditional waterfall background brings challenging dynamics. You are the key to success in this transition.
As an experienced Scrum Master, you will guide multidisciplinary teams and help them optimally utilize the Scrum framework to achieve their goals. You have a sharp insight into planning, interests, and risks, and know how to facilitate teams in removing obstacles. You monitor and strengthen team dynamics, assist Product Owners in effectively managing and prioritizing the backlog, and ensure a streamlined refinement process with developers.
Within the RAD Software Development team, you are more than just a Scrum Master. You have a coordinating role, in which you:
You will work closely with various stakeholders within the organization, including business experts, other Scrum Masters, DevOps teams, the Release Train Engineer, the Product Manager, the Solution Architect, the Product Owners Internal Services, and the Digital Quality Team (DQT). Together, you will ensure that agile working within the organization is not just a method, but a mindset.
- Coordinate the roadmap, backlog, and capacity planning together with the Product Owners.
- Monitor project budgets and support team members with time tracking.
- Actively contribute to the agile transition and help elevate the department to a higher level.
Requirements
You are an experienced Scrum Master and a true team player, with collegiality and integrity at the core. You possess strong stakeholder management skills and know how to effectively switch between different clients, diverse interests, and changing priorities within a political-administrative environment. When capacity, planning, and interests clash, you demonstrate decisiveness by setting clear priorities and discussing difficult choices in a connecting manner. Furthermore, you use your coaching leadership to guide teams towards higher agile maturity.
You stimulate ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement. With your organizational sensitivity, you maintain an overview under pressure and know how to bring calm and structure to complex situations. You are solution-oriented, think analytically, and act proactively at bottlenecks, working in a customer- and result-oriented manner. You also contribute to ensuring continuity within teams by stimulating knowledge sharing and transparency and limiting dependence on individual employees.
Finally, you have strong communication skills and know how to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing in Dutch and English.
