Microsoft 365 / Exchange Migration Consultant

Project overview

For our client, we are seeking experienced Microsoft 365 / Exchange Migration Consultants (m/f/d) on short notice to support an extensive migration and harmonization of the existing IT landscape.

Particularly interesting are well-coordinated duos or small teams (2–4 specialists). Experienced individual freelancers are also explicitly welcome.

Framework Conditions

As part of a company-wide Microsoft 365 transformation, approximately 1,500 user mailboxes, as well as numerous shared and project mailboxes, are to be migrated from various source systems into an existing Microsoft 365/Exchange Online environment within the next 12 months.

The current infrastructure has grown historically and includes, among others, Exchange On-Premises, Exchange Online, IONOS, and Postfix.

Responsibilities

Planning, execution, and technical support of complex Exchange migrations

Migration of various mail platforms to Exchange Online

Administration, configuration, and troubleshooting within Microsoft 365

Support in harmonizing existing e-mail structures

Technical consulting and close collaboration with the internal IT team

If necessary, support in adjacent M365 topics, especially Intune

Requirements

Several years of practical experience with Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online

Demonstrable experience with complex Exchange migrations

Sound knowledge of Exchange On-Premises and hybrid or heterogeneous environments

Strong hands-on mentality and independent working style

Experience with migration projects in larger corporate structures

Very good German language skills

Intune knowledge is an advantage

Individual Resource or Team Solution

A small, well-coordinated team solution is explicitly preferred.

Ideally, this would be a duo or a specialized IT boutique with 2–4 resources who complement each other professionally and can be coordinated through a central point of contact.
