Microsoft Fabric & Power BI Data Engineer

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Fabric & Power BI Data Engineer for a project in Frankfurt am Main. The position is advertised as a full-time project with flexible working models and runs until the end of 2027.

Your main tasks include the development and optimization of data models and analytics solutions with Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Fabric. You will work on the implementation of data engineering processes, process complex data volumes, and build performant data structures. Furthermore, you will be responsible for managing version control and CI/CD pipelines, as well as automating data flows.

We expect at least 3 years of practical project experience with Microsoft Power BI (including data models, DAX, RLS, and Direct Lake) as well as Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory with Pipelines and Dataflows, Gen2, and Notebooks with Apache Spark). Experience with version control, Git integration, and deployment pipelines is required. Knowledge of Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines, Work Items) as well as sound programming skills in SQL, Python, and PySpark are necessary.

Experience with large and complex data volumes, a deep understanding of data structures and their processing, as well as project experience in information security are advantageous.

German language skills are required. The position offers a mix of remote work and on-site presence.
