The role involves maintaining and further developing existing Java applications and their Android counterpart, while also developing a new platform using Python, React, and Flutter. Responsibilities include bug fixing, database optimization, and automation in a Linux environment.
Project overview
Maintenance and further development of specialized applications with Java 8, Vaadin 8, GlassFish 4.1, and PostgreSQL. Analysis and resolution of errors in productive systems at multiple locations. Maintenance of the associated Android app based on Java and its SOAP interfaces. New development of a successor platform with a Python/FastAPI backend, React/TypeScript back office, and Flutter app. Design and performance optimization of PostgreSQL databases. Automation in the Linux environment using shell/Python scripts, deployment, and operation with Docker.
Requirements
Expertise in development with Java 8, Vaadin 8, GlassFish 4.1, and PostgreSQL. Experience with Android app development (Java) and SOAP interfaces. Knowledge in Python/FastAPI, React/TypeScript, and Flutter for the platform redevelopment. Routine approach in the design and performance tuning of PostgreSQL databases. Know-how in shell/Python scripting under Linux as well as in the use of Docker for deployment/operation.
