Responsibilities

+ Performing naval architectural calculations as part of the basic design.

+ Designing and evaluating the ship's form considering weight and center of gravity.

+ Performing intact and damage stability calculations.

+ Evaluating stability according to applicable naval construction regulations.

+ Creating and updating weight balances.

+ Performing rolling weight calculations during project development. (not mandatory)

+ Coordinating results with involved design and development departments.

Requirements

+ Completed studies in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, ideally with a focus on naval theory.

+ Sound knowledge in ship stability, hydrostatics, and weight calculation.

+ Practical experience in calculating intact and damage stability.

+ Confident use of NAPA or E4 for naval theoretical calculations.

+ Knowledge of relevant classification and construction regulations, especially in naval shipbuilding.
