• Responsibility for the functional operation of defined applications and micro-services of the sales platform bahn.de
• Ensuring availability, performance, stability, and quality according to defined SLAs
• Monitoring of functional key figures such as conversion, drop-off rates, and search and booking processes
• Incident, Problem, and Change Management according to ITIL, as well as analysis and coordination of troubleshooting in 3rd level support
• Management of internal and external operating partners, as well as coordination of releases, deployments, and maintenance windows
• Creation and maintenance of runbooks, operational documentation, and processes
• Interface management between the sales department, IT, development, operations, and external partners
• Conducting root cause analyses and initiating measures for stability and performance optimization
• Reporting on KPIs, incidents, availabilities, and risks, as well as ensuring compliance and security requirements
• Several years of experience in application management or IT operations of complex, customer-critical platforms (e-commerce/online sales)
• Good knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management)
• Experience with monitoring tools and KPI management
• Understanding of web architectures, API-based systems, cloud environments, and microservice architectures
• Degree in computer science (business or otherwise) or comparable qualification
• Experience in agile environments (Scrum/SAFe)
• Strong analytical skills and high problem-solving competence
• High communication and management skills, as well as stakeholder orientation
• Structured way of working and prioritization skills
• Very good German language skills and good English language skills
• Experience with Kubernetes, AWS, and ECS
• Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Instana, Graylog, Grafana, or Prometheus
• Experience with functional operational responsibility and close collaboration with IT operations and development teams
