OpenShift Automation Engineer
We are looking for an experienced OpenShift Automation Engineer to join a platform engineering team focused on automating and scaling OpenShift Virtualization environments.
The role will suit engineers with hands-on experience of OpenShift Virtualization, including VM life cycle management and building automated platform capabilities. Candidates with a strong platform engineering background and expertise in API-driven automation within OpenShift environments are also highly desirable.

Job Title: Openshift Engineer
- OpenShift Virtualization administration and automation.
- VM life cycle management, provisioning, decommissioning and migration activities.
- experience migrating workloads from VMware vSphere to OpenShift Virtualization.
- Platform engineering and infrastructure automation in cloud-native environments.
- GitOps-based automation using ArgoCD and CI/CD tooling such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins or equivalent.
- Development of infrastructure automation solutions using Python and/or Go.
- Strong Linux administration skills.
- Proficiency with YAML, JSON, REST APIs and Infrastructure as Code principles.
- experience building reusable automation frameworks and self-service platform capabilities.
- Kubernetes/OpenShift platform engineering experience .
- experience designing API-driven automation for virtualised and containerised platforms.
- Exposure to hybrid infrastructure environments and modern platform operating models.
- experience contributing to software engineering best practices, including version control, testing and code reviews.
