Operational Buyer

Project overview

For an established company, we are looking for an Operational Buyer (m/f/d) in Hamburg. This part-time position (1-2 days per week) offers the opportunity to independently manage operational procurement processes.

Your tasks include the operational procurement of metals and metallic materials with a purchasing volume of approximately 10 million Euros. You will review and process demand requirements, create purchase orders, and communicate directly with suppliers. Ensuring material supply that meets demand and deadlines is your responsibility. You will maintain purchase orders, order confirmations, and relevant data in the ERP system, ensuring their completeness. Furthermore, you will proactively monitor order and delivery dates and initiate appropriate measures in case of delays.

You will check invoices, clarify discrepancies, and support price negotiations with suppliers. Close coordination with project-oriented departments is part of your daily work.

We expect a completed commercial apprenticeship or comparable qualification, as well as sound professional experience in operational purchasing. Ideally, you have experience in purchasing metals, steel, or technical materials. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV is required. You are characterized by a structured, independent, and solution-oriented way of working, possess strong communication skills, and negotiation skills. Good German language skills, both written and spoken, as well as English skills are necessary.
