Oracle DBA

Project overview

We are looking for an Oracle DBA (m/f/d):

The further expansion is planned here, particularly for Oracle and PostgreSQL databases. The installation, operation, and monitoring of these databases in their IT landscape must be ensured 24/7.

Responsibilities

• Installation of databases
• Monitoring of databases
• Backup / Recovery of databases in the various environments
• Support for second-level support for ongoing operations
• Access to manufacturer support
• Acceptance and execution of orders from developers and process managers
• Operation of the database in all application layers
• (PNT) and development
• Creation of operating manuals and further documentation

Requirements

A willingness to participate in on-call duty outside of regular operating hours is generally assumed.

Framework conditions:

• Installation and administration of Oracle database systems (version 19 and higher)
• Backup and recovery of Oracle databases with NetBackup
• Operation and setup of Oracle Real Application Cluster (RAC)
• Operation and setup of Oracle Data Guard
• Administration and operation of TDE-encrypted Oracle
• DBMS on Oracle Exadata
• Experience with TLS-encrypted communication
• Administration of Oracle DBMS on Oracle Exadata
• Experience in database patching on Oracle Exadata
• Administration of Oracle DBMS on ODA
• Experience in database patching on ODA
• Knowledge in performance tuning on Oracle Exadata and ODA
• Operating system knowledge of Linux clients and servers
• DB administration in Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control Monitoring via CheckMK
• Error analysis and their resolution in the operating environment of Oracle databases
• Creation of SQL, PL/SQL, and BASH scripts
• Creation of operating manuals and further documentation
• Start: 01.12.2026
