Job description

Your role as an Organic Synthesis Development Engineer consists of developing and optimizing the chemical synthesis process for a new molecule in close synergy with the CMC, R&D, site, and global MSAT teams. You will be responsible for laboratory experiments during daytime hours, from setting up equipment to handling under a fume hood, in strict compliance with HSE procedures and GMP/BPF. You will record all data in the ELN, identify technical bottlenecks, and formulate concrete solutions to maximize yield, selectivity, robustness, and safety for industrialization.

Finally, you will ensure the analytical monitoring of reactions (TLC, HPLC, NMR, GC), formalize scientific reports, and present the progress of your work during project technical committees.

Profile sought

You have a Bac+5 (Master's or Engineering degree) or a Doctorate in organic chemistry with a minimum of 2 years of experience in organic chemistry. Junior profiles are accepted for PhD holders, ideally acquired in the pharmaceutical industry. You have proven practical experience in the lab (chemical reactions, extraction, crystallization, distillation, filtration) as well as a good understanding of unit operations and scale-up constraints.

Recognized for your rigor, reactivity, and teamwork in matrix environments, you master French orally and in writing, while having a solid foundation in technical English to interact effectively on your projects.

About our client

We are recruiting for our client Sanofi, an Organic Synthesis Development Engineer (M/F).

This position, based in Aramon, is for a temporary mission until 06/30/2027.

The position is for daytime hours and the gross salary is between 43,000 and 44,000 euros gross annually.
