Context

Mission context:

Our client, an international player in business and employee services, is looking for a freelance French payroll expert for 2 to 3 months to audit and validate an outsourced payroll process.

French payroll is currently outsourced to a provider.

An internal manager sends the variable elements each month, which are processed by the provider.

The consultant will act as an internal advisor on French payroll legislation and processes for a 2 to 3 month mission.

Required profile

Profile sought:

Autonomy, rigor, advisory posture, and pedagogical skills

• Provide advice and expertise on French payroll legislation and practices
• Lead, with the internal team and the provider, a complete audit of the process and payroll statements
• Identify the origin of errors and discrepancies observed over several months
• Define and monitor a corrective action plan to stabilize payroll
• Support the HR team and local management on payroll matters, as needed
• Secure the collection and control circuit for variable elements upstream of the provider
• Implement consistency checks before and after payroll processing
• Formalize procedures and recommendations to ensure continuity after the mission
• Complete expertise in French payroll, in all its aspects (legislation, declarations, processes)
• Experience in auditing or controlling payroll and correcting anomalies
• Experience with an outsourced payroll model and managing a provider
• Ability to advise HR teams and local management
• Fluent French and English, both spoken and written
