Project overview

We are looking for an experienced back-end developer to support a player in the financial sector in the development and modernization of its applications.

You will join a technical team responsible for the design and evolution of business-critical application services. You will work on topics related to APIs, data exchange, and third-party service integration, with a particular focus on quality, security, and performance.

In close collaboration with product, front-end, mobile, and infrastructure teams, you will participate in the design of new features and the continuous improvement of existing applications.

Your missions

Within the development team, you will be responsible for:

Designing, developing, and maintaining APIs and back-end services that meet the functional needs of the applications.

Participating in the modernization of the application architecture and the progressive migration from a legacy PHP framework to a more recent solution.

Developing and maintaining exchanges with external partners, particularly around payment services and financial operations.

Implementing automated tests and participating in code reviews to ensure the reliability and maintainability of developments.

Analyzing and optimizing application performance and database access.

Applying security best practices and contributing to compliance with requirements specific to regulated environments.

Collaborating with infrastructure and DevOps teams in diagnosing and resolving incidents.

Participating in discussions on software architecture and proposing improvements to development methods and tools.

The position is part of a technical transformation context, with active participation in the evolution of the application foundation and architectural decisions.

Candidate profile

Higher education in computer science, software development, or equivalent.

At least 3 years of experience in back-end development, ideally on PHP applications.

Good command of PHP and a modern framework, with a preference for Symfony.

Solid knowledge of object-oriented programming, SQL, and data model design.

Experience with automated testing and version control tools, particularly Git.

Awareness of application security and software quality issues.

Experience in financial services, payment systems, or application modernization is an advantage.

Ability to work in a team, autonomy, rigor, and technical curiosity.

Technical English, both written and spoken.
