Project overview

We are looking for an experienced Civil Engineering Planning Engineer for an exciting project in Braunschweig. This freelance position offers you the opportunity to work from April 2027 with an option to extend until 2028.

Your tasks include the comprehensive planning and coordination of construction projects: You will be responsible for the planning of earthworks, foundations for buildings and pipe bridges including deep foundations, structural work in reinforced concrete and masonry, locksmithing and steel construction, as well as roof and facade work. You will also plan the construction execution of grounding and lightning protection.

Your core responsibilities include preliminary and design planning of building structures as well as pipe and cable bridges, the creation of construction documents, the checking of information from other trades (loads, dimensions, etc.), and the planning of construction site areas and facilities. You will coordinate interfaces, instruct sub-planners for structural engineering, and review their results. You will also advise the client on further specialist planning activities and expert services.

Requirements

You have a degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture and several years of experience in comparable projects. Very good German and English skills are required, as the project will be conducted in both languages.
