Project Employee Geotechnics Land Route (m/f/d)

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced Geotechnical Project Employee to support the construction preparation for a large infrastructure project in the area of land cable routes. The position is hybrid and based in Dortmund.

Your tasks include structuring and technically carrying out tenders for geotechnical field investigations as well as awarding engineering, exploration, and laboratory services. You will be responsible for technical contract management and will manage campaign management, including the supervision of construction supervisors, experts, and drilling/probing companies. You will regularly attend site visits in the project area and ensure the quality of field, laboratory, and documentation work.

Furthermore, you will provide geotechnical and hydrogeological advice to civil engineering and land cable installation, coordinate relevant internal and external interfaces, and participate in approval processes. You will also support the development of processes and standardizations.

We expect a successfully completed degree in geosciences, geotechnics, civil engineering, or a similar field. Several years of professional experience in linear infrastructure projects and sound knowledge of geotechnical requirements are necessary. You should have experience in creating geotechnical concepts, managing service providers, and project management, as well as being able to communicate confidently with authorities.

We are looking for a confident demeanor, strong communication skills, and assertiveness. Independent work, a sense of responsibility, and team spirit in interdisciplinary project teams are essential. The position is planned for at least 12 months and can be filled promptly.
