Platform Architect AI Platforms & Shared Services

Project overview

For an infrastructure company, we are looking for experienced Platform Architects to build enterprise-wide AI platforms and shared services. The project runs for 11 months with an option for extension and starts in February 2027.

Responsibilities

You will work in an established team on the step-by-step elaboration and concretization of an overarching AI architecture. Your focus will be on developing architecture concepts, target states, and decision bases for four capability areas: AI Control, AI Platform, AI Transparency, and AI Governance. This includes topics such as Model Management, Agent Management, Knowledge Management, Observability, and Audit Trail.

You will translate the enterprise architecture into concrete technical and organizational requirements, specify shared services with functional and non-functional requirements, and support their evaluation. You will also define governance mechanisms, responsibilities, and organizational frameworks for the operation of the services. You will create and prioritize the architecture roadmap, ensure alignment between all levels, and communicate the architecture appropriately to management and teams.

Requirements

At least 8 years of professional experience in IT architecture with proven expertise in the conception or implementation of AI platforms and shared services (e.g., AI Gateway, Model Hub, Agent Runtime, Vector Stores, Knowledge Management). You bring in-depth cloud and container knowledge as well as experience with observability for AI systems. Platform building experience is sought, not purely conceptual work.
