Platform Engineer for Altinn 3 Platform

Project overview

Background: The Digitalization Directorate's User Experience and Data Sharing department needs one senior Platform Engineer with specialized expertise in Kubernetes for the Altinn Platform Team.

Need: The consultant will primarily work with the development, management, and operation of platform products for Altinn 3. This is a new role in a cross-functional, agile DevOps team.

Responsibilities

• Development of backend and infrastructure for the Altinn 3 platform.
• Development and maintenance of Kubernetes operators.
• Operation and management of container-based applications in a Kubernetes-based cloud solution.
• Operation and management of PostgreSQL databases.
• Contribute actively to the team and take professional initiatives.

Requirements

• Minimum five years of documented experience as a Platform Engineer.
• Good Norwegian, both written and spoken.
• Capacity to work in a 100% position during the contract period.
• Very good experience with backend and infrastructure development, preferably with Golang, Kubernetes, monitoring, GitOps, and Terraform.
• Experience with development and maintenance of Kubernetes operators.
• Good experience with operation and management of container-based applications in Kubernetes-based cloud solutions and PostgreSQL databases.
• Experience from cross-functional, agile DevOps teams, with a forward-thinking approach and professional initiative.

Project details

• Start: Estimated November 30, 2026.
• Duration: One year, with an option for 6 + 6 months.
• Work location: Økern Portal in Oslo. Physical presence 2-3 days a week, by agreement.
• Scope: One consultant in a 100% position.
