PMO Consultant for Data Center Modernization and Hybrid IT Infrastructures

Project overview

For our client from the public sector, we are looking for a PMO Consultant to provide organizational and administrative support for a project to modernize and increase the availability of data center infrastructures.

Project Background:

The client is modernizing its IT infrastructure for further digitalization of administrative processes. Existing data center infrastructures and modern cloud architectures are to be integrated into a common target state.

The project focuses on implementing resilient structures with geo-redundancy and/or cloud usage. The goal is to increase availability in the data center environment and implement the relevant regulatory requirements from KRITIS, ISO 27001, BSI IT-Grundschutz, NIS2, and the Energy Efficiency Act (EnEfG).

The PMO support includes in particular the organizational preparation and accompaniment of the project as well as the coordination of consultations and surveys with the responsible parties for approx. 200 affected IT systems.

• Remote: approx. 50% (332 h)
• OnSite: approx. 50% (332 h)
• Utilization: approx. 66.4 h/month (approx. 50%; 664 h total)
• Location: Nuremberg

Responsibilities

• Support for the Project Management Office in the organizational and administrative accompaniment of the project.
• Maintenance of a reliable, findable, and version-clear information base through structured document and information management.
• Organization and coordination of appointments and meetings, especially with the responsible system administrators.
• Creation of action-oriented minutes and follow-up of actions, decisions, and measures.
• Support in the creation and editorial quality assurance of project and approval documents according to the client's templates and standards.
• Support for project reporting and effort controlling.
• Assumption of organizational and logistical support tasks from the project start.
• Organizational accompaniment of system surveys, including provision of documents, monitoring of returns, and follow-up of outstanding responses.
• Organizational preparation and accompaniment of the acceptance of work packages as well as ensuring the formal completeness of approval documents.
