• Project-based conception and implementation of PoCs in the area of knowledge bases and AI applications
• Participation in the development of solutions based on embeddings and modern LLM architectures
• Support in building a long-term AI strategy within a business-critical environment
• Project-based analysis of existing source code structures and identification of potentials for development acceleration through AI tools
• Participation in the conception of a data generator for creating work and test data, considering various data variants
• Support in merging statistical findings and subject-specific data sources for data-driven use cases
• Participation in building a new, high-quality billing system in the healthcare sector
• Project-based elaboration of technically feasible solution approaches for long-term system landscapes
• Support in knowledge transfer within interdisciplinary Scrum teams
• Long-term project environment
• Distributed collaboration within Germany and partially internationally in the EU environment
• Monthly on-site coordination desired
• EU-compliant infrastructure and provider landscape required

Nice to have

• Experience in the healthcare or health insurance sector
• Experience with data extraction and ad-hoc learning methods
• Knowledge in the area of billing and health data
• Experience with data generators for test and work data
• Experience with Claude Code or comparable AI-supported development tools
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the European environment
• Experience with EU-compliant cloud and AI solutions

Utilization: 100% (8 hours 5 days a week) preferred

Mostly Remote, approx. 1-2 days per month on-site in Dortmund

Project Language: German and English

Must-Haves:

• Very good experience in Artificial Intelligence and Large Language Models (LLMs)
• Experience with knowledge bases, embeddings, and retrieval approaches
• Experience with European AI stacks, ideally in the Mistral environment
• Experience in the conception and implementation of Proof of Concepts (PoCs)
• Experience with AI-supported software development and modern development tools
• Ability to quickly familiarize yourself with complex subject domains
• Very good communication skills and structured knowledge transfer
• German speaker and willingness for security screening (SÜ1/SÜ2)
• German citizenship required
