Job description
The Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg (DHBW) is seeking an AI Project Coordinator to lead the strategic development and coordination of AI initiatives in teaching and learning, fostering innovation and collaboration across the university.
Project overview
THE DUAL UNIVERSITY DEGREE
WITH A FUTURE.
The Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg (DHBW) is the largest university in Baden-Württemberg, with approximately 33,000 students across nine study academies and three campuses, as well as the Center for Advanced Studies. Together with 9,000 selected companies and social and health-related institutions, the DHBW ensures a supply of excellently qualified specialists and managers in the fields of economics, technology, social work, and health, both in theory and practice.
Since January 1, 2023, it has been part of the dual European University EU4Dual.
The Center for University Didactics and Lifelong Learning (ZHL) offers versatile, contemporary, and innovative continuing education formats as well as study aptitude tests. The target groups of the ZHL are lecturers, doctoral students, staff, and future students of the Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg (DHBW).
With its departments of University Didactics, Continuing Education for Young Academics, Staff Development, and the Test Center, it belongs to the DHBW Center for Advanced Studies (DHBW CAS), which offers career-integrated master's degree programs and seminars in the field of academic continuing education. Both are part of the DHBW and thus the largest university in Baden-Württemberg. The ZHL is located on the Bildungscampus in Heilbronn in a modern and very well-equipped environment.

Scope of employment: 100% (39.5 hours per week)
Responsibilities
Artificial intelligence is fundamentally changing study, teaching, continuing education, administration, and scientific collaboration. At the DHBW, various initiatives, projects, experimental spaces, and qualification offers have been emerging for some time around the reflective, responsible, and practical use of AI in teaching and study. The aim of this position is to coordinate these activities across the university, make them visible, strategically develop them further, and, together with relevant stakeholders, design concepts for the sustainable implementation of AI in university teaching.
- You will be responsible for establishing and testing university-wide coordination structures for networking and the structured further development of existing AI projects, AI initiatives, and other undertakings in the field of innovative teaching.
- You will identify, consolidate, and document existing AI activities at the DHBW with the aim of developing an AI strategy in study and teaching for the DHBW.
- You will initiate and support a network with relevant stakeholders. This includes, in particular, central institutions such as the Education Support Center, teaching-related departments, AI projects, and faculties.
- You will design and moderate networking, exchange, and participation formats, for example, workshops, strategy rounds, barcamps, community meetings, or transfer events.
- You will prepare project results, good practices, experience reports, and strategic developments together with internal actors and strengthen the external visibility of these activities.
- You will monitor relevant developments in the field of AI, university teaching, and digital transformation and prepare them for strategic work within the project.
