The Project

For a demanding construction project in the pharma and life science environment, I am looking for an experienced Procurement Lead who will be responsible for the procurement and awarding of construction and plant services. You will work in an experienced, international project team and be the central interface between project management, cost control, planning, and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Development and implementation of the awarding and purchasing strategy for the project
• Preparation, execution, and evaluation of tenders
• Conducting awarding and contract negotiations with contractors and suppliers
• Management of the awarding schedule in coordination with planning and construction progress
• Close cooperation with cost controlling regarding budget and cost development
• Support of change order and amendment processes from a procurement perspective
• Reporting to project management

Requirements

• Several years of experience in procurement or awarding of construction projects
• Ideally, experience in the pharma, life science, or a comparably regulated environment (e.g., semiconductor, data center, chemical)
• Confident handling of tender and contract processes in construction
• Strong negotiation skills and a structured, self-reliant way of working
• Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
• Availability on a freelance/contract basis and willingness to be on-site in Frankfurt approximately 3 days per week
