Project overview

The area of application includes the role of a Product Owner for the introduction of a future-proof life insurance platform for the Life Classic portfolio. In this key role, you will be responsible for the technical direction, prioritization, and successful implementation of a central solution area within the transformation.

You will manage an international, interdisciplinary team of up to 20 employees and ensure the targeted implementation of the product strategy along the agreed program goals.

• Responsibility for the product backlog, including prioritization, scope management, and transparent decision-making to maximize business value and achieve program goals.
• Building and maintaining robust relationships with business, operations, and IT stakeholders, and facilitating viable decisions in the event of competing requirements, conflicting goals, and dependencies.
• Translating business requirements into an actionable product roadmap, features, and user stories, and ensuring clear technical objectives for the implementation teams.
• Independent technical decisions within the area of responsibility and representation of the solution strategy to program management, sponsors, workstream leads, and other decision-making bodies.
• Ensuring the technical quality of the delivered solutions by defining acceptance criteria, managing technical acceptance, and consistently pursuing quality, risk, and compliance requirements.
• Technical leadership of the team in close cooperation with the Scrum Master, and responsibility for delivery capability, predictability, and achievement of agreed cycle and program goals.
• Early identification of critical risks, dependencies, and implementation obstacles, and initiation and follow-up of appropriate measures to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
• Several years of experience as a Product Owner, Lead Product Owner, or technical manager in complex transformation programs
• Proven experience in the technical leadership and management of international and interdisciplinary teams
• Sound knowledge of the MSG iLife platform and the processes of company life insurance portfolio management
• In-depth knowledge of company pension schemes (especially §3 No. 63 EStG, §40b EStG, reinsurance and support funds), ideally supplemented by experience with consortium solutions
• Experience in migration, transformation, or run-off programs in the insurance sector
• Strong skills in stakeholder management and communication at management and executive levels
• Sound knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe) and proficient use of Jira and Confluence
• Fluent German and English language skills
• High degree of personal responsibility, assertiveness, and strong decision-making and solution orientation
