Product Owner / Initiative Lead - CIAM Team

Project overview

For one of our end clients in Wuppertal, we are currently looking for a freelance Product Owner for a Customer Identity & Access Management (CIAM) team. In this role, you will take central control and prioritization of our development and implementation team based on the SaaS solution cidaas. The main focus is on the clear structuring of incoming requirements, forward-looking resource planning, and target-group-oriented communication with all key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Requirements & Backlog Management: Structuring, consolidation, and prioritization of diverse business and system requirements from different company areas.
• Team Management & Focus: Classic sprint and project planning for leading the implementation team; creating clarity and target focus amidst competing priorities.
• Transparency & Capacity Planning: Active management of team utilization, early identification of resource or skill gaps, and presentation of action options.
• Stakeholder Communication: Confident interface between Program Management, development team, and external/internal peers, including regular status reporting.
• SaaS Provider Management: Operational management and control of external service providers and the software manufacturer (especially cidaas).

Requirements

• Excellent Planning & Structuring Skills: Demonstrable experience in managing projects/teams and in leading agile or hybrid teams.
• Strong Communication Skills: Ability to convey complex issues clearly and transparently at both management and developer levels.
• Experience in SaaS Provider Management: Proven practice in collaborating with and managing external SaaS providers.
• Commitment & Focus: Ability to serve as a "shield" for the team against unstructured requests and to consistently enforce priorities.

• CIAM & cidaas Know-how: Practical experience in Customer Identity & Access Management, ideally with the cidaas product.
• Project Manager Background: Experience as a Project Manager (m/f/d) in IT or software projects to assess capacities and dependencies soundly.
