Production Engineer

Project overview

We are looking for a production engineer for a 3-month renewable mission to be filled in Aix-en-Provence (50% remote work).

Detailed description Job title: Experienced Production Engineer – Internal IS

Context / Environment

Within the Internal IS, you will join a production team responsible for the industrialization, operation, and supervision of business applications. The position combines project activities (build) and RUN activities (MCO / N2/N3 support) in a rich and demanding technical environment.

Main missions

Integrate new applications into the Internal IS, from technical scoping to production deployment.

Participate in the design and implementation of industrialization and application deployment chains.

Set up and configure deployment (XLDeploy) and scheduling (VTOM, Control-M) tools.

Contribute to defining operational standards, procedures, and associated documentation.

Work in close collaboration with development, architecture, and security teams to ensure the proper operability of solutions.

Ensure the smooth daily operation of applications and associated infrastructures (Windows Server, Linux, Openshift).

Manage production incidents (diagnosis, resolution, coordination of stakeholders), with level 2/3 support.

Monitor the performance, availability, and capacity of platforms, using supervision tools (Zabbix).

Implement reliability and optimization action plans (tuning, automation, industrialization).

Participate in on-call duty and planned interventions outside of working hours (production deployments, technical operations).

Technical environment

The employee will be required to work with the following technologies:

Systems: Windows Server, Linux

Databases: Mysql / SQLserver / Oracle

Containers / Internal Cloud: Openshift.

Deployment / Industrialization: XLD/XLR/Jenkins/Bitbucket (or similar continuous deployment tools).

Supervision / Monitoring: Zabbix.

Scheduling: VTOM, Control-M.

A good general understanding of application production environments and DevOps tools is expected.

Profile sought

Experienced production engineer, minimum 10 years of experience in application production / operations environment.

Ability to lead teams and daily tasks.

Participate in the automation and continuous improvement of the activity

Significant experience in mixed Windows and Linux environments.

Ability to work in a team in a multi-stakeholder context (production, development, infra, security).

Rigor, service orientation, and reliability culture.

Good communication level, ability to simplify complex information for non-technical stakeholders.
