The Water Board Vechtstromen is looking for a Project Leader to manage the execution of the Haarvaten op Peil (HOP) program, focusing on increasing freshwater availability and mitigating drought impacts in Eastern Netherlands.

Assignment description
Within the Haarvaten op Peil (HOP) program, Water Board Vechtstromen is working to increase freshwater availability and reduce the effects of drought on the Hoge Zandgronden in Eastern Netherlands. For the execution of HOP, use is made of Bosgroepen Oost Nederland, among others. As a cooperative member organization, Bosgroepen has a unique position of trust with private landowners and estates in our region. Keeping Bosgroepen engaged within HOP is therefore crucial for maintaining support and the smooth realization of drought measures.
The team consists of a project leader, ecologist, civil engineering advisor/preparer, and a GIS employee.
Job requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of recent work experience as a civil engineering advisor;
- Extensive experience with water system projects in rural areas
- A positive critical outlook and proactive attitude;
- Experience in the design, preparation, and realization phases of projects
- Experience with the ""drought"" issue in projects
- Experience in dealing with and conversing with stakeholders
