Seeking a freelance Project Manager to lead cross-functional business information system projects within a large group, acting as the liaison between business departments and IT.
Project overview
We are looking for a project manager to lead cross-functional projects with a strong business component, within a large group. These projects involve several departments and several information system applications.
You are the link between the business departments and the IT department, from the expression of needs to the adoption of the solution by users, while respecting commitments regarding cost, deadlines, and quality.
You gather and formalize needs, arbitrate priorities with the business departments, carry out preliminary studies (opportunity, feasibility, impacts on processes and IT systems), and build the scoping document: scope, objectives, schedule, budget, risks, and success indicators. You write the specifications and contribute to calls for tender.
You then manage: animation of steering and operational committees, preparation of decision-making elements, coordination of business contributors, product owners, and internal and external technical teams, monitoring of deadlines, budget, and risks, reporting to sponsors and the IT department, management of inter-project dependencies.
You organize business acceptance testing and ensure its coverage, prepare and coordinate the production rollout with operations, and manage change: impact analysis, communication, training, user support, adoption measurement, and handover to run.
Profile sought
Confirmed experience in managing cross-functional, multi-departmental projects with a strong business component.
Mastery of project management methodologies: V-cycle, agile, and hybrid, with associated management tools.
Ability to analyze business processes and translate them into information system requirements.
Mastery of the cost, quality, deadline triangle and risk management.
Ease in facilitating committees and presenting to management stakeholders.
Experience in a demanding and regulated business environment, with constrained processes.
Cross-functional leadership: ability to unite without hierarchical authority.
