Project Manager / Interim Head of Utility Network Operations

Project overview

Building, further development, and professionalization of the Southern Network Operations organizational unit.

Analysis of existing structures, processes, and responsibilities, as well as derivation of suitable optimization measures.

Technical management of network operations activities for gas and water networks.

Ensuring compliant operation of the network infrastructure according to regulations and laws.

Technical support for the implementation or further development of Technical Safety Management (TSM).

Preparation and support of audits, certifications, and official inspections.

Development of operational, maintenance, and fault clearance strategies.

Creation of roadmaps, target images, and implementation plans for future-proof network operations.

Advising management on strategic issues related to network operations, organization, and processes.

Stakeholder management with internal departments and management.

Requirements

Several years of management experience in network operations, network management, or technical operations management.

Demonstrable experience with energy suppliers, network operators, or municipal utilities.

In-depth knowledge in at least one of the sectors: Gas, Water (nice).

Ideally, experience with cross-sector networks.

Very good knowledge of relevant regulations and legal requirements (DVGW, VDE, EnWG etc.).

Experience in Technical Safety Management (TSM) is an advantage.

Experience in organizational development, transformation, or setup projects.
