Project overview

Context

Within the Product and Technologies Directorate of a major media group, the Manufacturing Engineering department is responsible for the renovation of the headquarters' control rooms as part of a large-scale program. This renovation involves the creation of an operational hub where all national newsroom broadcasts, such as the 1 PM and 8 PM news, will be produced. The technological context is within the IP SMPTE ST 2110 universe, datacenters, and virtualization of information systems. All equipment related to the control room back-office will be deployed in a datacenter located outside the headquarters.

The project also aims to rationalize workstations to make the production of news programs more consistent, more controlled, and more automated, with the implementation of production automation systems. The NRCS editorial system will play a more significant role in the production chain, strengthening its integration with various tools. The estimated go-live date is Q1 2028.

Work Environment

Start upon market notification. On-site presence required based on service needs, at least 60% of the time, i.e., 3 days per week, at the headquarters located in the 15th arrondissement of Paris (Metro/RER access). No on-call duty on weekends or public holidays.

Profile Sought

Axande is an IT consulting and engineering company specializing in supporting large accounts in their digital transformation projects. We primarily work on project management, change management, MOA, and application expertise missions for clients in the media, industry, and public sectors. Our consultants work as freelancers or subcontractors on multi-year contracts, with ongoing support throughout the assignment.

• Ensure operational coordination of activities in conjunction with the project coordinator, the integrator partner, and the various engineering departments
• Lead, support, and challenge the integrator's services throughout the project
• Challenge the various departments with which the project interacts to ensure the consistency of choices and proper consideration of needs
• Implement and monitor project committees and governance, the schedule, and the associated action plan
• Lead workshops and gather input from end-users (Information Directorate, Production teams)
• Organize and analyze feedback
• Draft scoping, consultation, and monitoring documents
• Lead various project meetings and the Steering Committee (COPROJ)
• Draft meeting minutes and ensure action follow-up in coordination with the integrator partner
• Implement and maintain project, technical, and support documentation
• Monitor the project schedule in coordination with the integrator and the PMO
• Identify project risks and propose solutions
• Lead technical and functional acceptance testing
• Collect workflow requirements
• Foster quality communication and the smooth flow of information between stakeholders

• Your experience in project management for television control room redesign, including coordination of an integrator and change management with editorial and production teams
• Senior level: over 5 years of significant experience in engineering or execution of technical projects focused on Broadcast and IT, in project management
• Demonstrated skills in managing complex projects with reporting to General Management and operational project committees
• Strong technical knowledge of broadcast audiovisual environments and production control rooms (live TV and continuity), their operation, their operational constraints, and their interactions with associated systems (video mixer, audio console, production automation, broadcast controller)
• Knowledge of Agile/SCRUM and V-cycle methodologies
• Experience in control room redesign project management
• Proficiency in JIRA and Confluence
• Mastery of stakeholder animation and coordination techniques within transverse projects
• Solid writing and interpersonal skills
