Job description
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager for a transformation project focused on the processing of non-performing loans (NPL) and collections. The role involves steering the project, coordinating various stakeholders, and overseeing the introduction of a new collections platform.

- For a client, we are currently looking for an experienced Project Manager NPL / Collections Transformation (m/f/d).
- Start: by arrangement
- Duration: 6–12 months
- Project Context
- As part of a transformation project, the processing of non-performing retail loans is to be further developed and automated from the first payment default to settlement or sale of the claim. The focus is on dunning strategies, deferment and forbearance, termination, legal dunning procedures, debt collection, consumer insolvency, and write-offs.
- Tasks
- Steering a transformation and automation project in the NPL/Collections environment
- Coordination of loan processing, legal, IT, external collection service providers, and system providers
- Introduction or replacement of a collections platform
- Management of the migration of open cases
- Accompanying the project until go-live
- Development and management of relevant KPIs such as Cure Rate, Roll Rate, Recovery Rate, Cost per Case, and Lead Time
- Requirements
- At least 2 projects on process change or automation in collections, recovery, or problem loan processing at a bank
- Of which at least one project until go-live
- Experience with the introduction or replacement of a collections platform, including migration
- Experience in managing business departments, legal, IT, external service providers, and system providers
- Experience with KPI-based business cases in the collections/recovery environment
- Nice to have
- RPA, Workflow, Document AI, or agent-based AI
- Human-in-the-loop and IKS controls
- Experience with outsourced debt collection or servicing services
- Experience with NPL portfolio sales
