Project Management SAP S/4HANA Utilities

Project overview

For my client in the energy sector, I am looking for an experienced Project Manager for SAP S/4HANA Utilities as part of a transformation project, with a solid understanding of SAP Utilities (ideally with prior knowledge of SAP IS-U).

You will be responsible for the planning, steering, and coordination of the transformation project, ensuring that business requirements, technical implementation, and project goals are optimally aligned. You will work closely with the business departments, IT, relevant stakeholders, and external implementation partners.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for the planning, steering, and coordination of the SAP S/4HANA Utilities project
• Steering of functional and technical work packages, as well as monitoring of project progress, deadlines, budget, and resources
• Coordination with business departments, IT, Enterprise Architecture, and external implementation partners
• Coordination of requirements for the future SAP S/4HANA Utilities target landscape
• Steering of requirements, risk, dependency, and change management
• Coordination of data migration, interfaces, integration tests, and functional acceptance tests
• Monitoring of project quality and ensuring structured documentation and decision-making
• Preparation and steering of go-live, cutover, and, if applicable, hypercare
• Regular reporting to program management, management, and other stakeholders

• Several years of experience in managing complex SAP transformation projects
• Solid knowledge of the SAP S/4HANA architecture
• Experience in the SAP Utilities environment, ideally with SAP S/4HANA Utilities
• Good understanding of energy industry business processes and the underlying system landscape
• Experience in managing interdisciplinary teams and external implementation partners
• Solid knowledge of project planning, budget and resource management, as well as risk and stakeholder management
• Experience with integration and test management, as well as data migration and go-live preparation
• Very good communication and moderation skills + German language skills
