Project Manager Business Support 20-60% – IT Project Management/Public Transport/Transport/Planning/Coordination/Documentation

For our client, we are looking for an experienced Project Manager (925171JP) to lead demanding IT projects related to transport and traffic, primarily supporting coordination and communication. In this role, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and steering of complex IT initiatives, as well as ensuring transparent communication and documentation towards internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

– Responsibility for planning, steering, and monitoring IT projects in the transport/traffic environment

– Coordination and leadership of interdisciplinary project teams and external service providers

– Planning, coordination, documentation, and information preparation within project management (status reports, decision-making bases, presentations, minutes)

– Recording, evaluation, and coordination of requirements, architectural decisions, and dependencies between IT systems

– Ensuring compliance with quality, cost, and deadline specifications, as well as risk management and escalation management

– Close collaboration with business units and stakeholders from public administration

– Preparation and support of decision-making bodies (steering committee, expert committees) including reporting and documentation

Requirements

– At least 5 years of professional experience as an IT Project Manager, Project Lead, or in PMO within the last 8 years

– At least 1 year of experience in carrying out projects for the public sector

– Sound experience in planning, coordination, documentation, and information tasks in project management

– Ideally, you have experience in evaluating and coordinating requirements, architectural decisions, and dependencies of IT systems

– Experience in complex integration projects or in the system landscape of transport companies / public administration (advantageous)

– Sound knowledge of common project management methods and tools (classic and/or agile)

– Strong communication, moderation, and stakeholder management skills

– Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented approach to work, as well as a high degree of personal responsibility

Education:

– Completed education in IT, Business Informatics, or a comparable field

– Project management certification, e.g., HERMES, IPMA, or comparable, is advantageous

Languages:

– German native/business fluent

– Good language skills (minimum B2) in French and/or English are mandatory
