Project overview
Work on Proof of Concept for running Zephyr on a feature rich Microprocessor natively or using Hypervisor.
With the PoC we would gain deeper knowledge on technical options and perform certain measurements to evaluate the impact on quality scenarios.
We are seeking a Senior Embedded Software Developer or Software Architect having the skills:
- Deep embedded software know-how
- Solid understanding of Linux and preferably Zephyr
- Strong ability to dive into new technologies and frameworks
- Experience with open source frameworks
- First experience with Hypervisor technologies and Virtual Machines
- Experience with Microprocessors from NXP (e.g. i.MX6, newer or similar derivates)
- Real Time Operation System (RTOS) knowledge

Other tasks and activities
- good knowledge of graphic stacks on Linux
- Zephyr (in case of strong expertise with different RTOS)
- Collaborate with SW Architects, implement the PoC and perform necessary investigations.
- Some of the investigations are paperwork (research & studying available documentation)
- Documentation of setup, implementation parts, measurements and results.
- Setup on a development board (to be aligned with us) a hypervisor, Linux and Zephyr OS.
- Perform measurements and investigations in alignment with SW Architects.
- Implement some demo application for the PoC to perform measurements targeting our quality scenarios.
- Maybe: Investigate possibility to run Zephyr on Microprocessor. Find and document limitations based on documentation.
- Maybe: Prototype running Zephyr on Linux as native sim.
