Develop and enhance the network-side protocol stack for mobile testing systems, focusing on LTE and 5G NR, particularly layers 2 and 3.

Area: Mobile Radio Measurement Technology · Location: Munich (On-site/Hybrid) ·
Responsibilities
- Development and further development of the protocol stack on the network side (eNB/gNB) for mobile radio test systems
- Work in layers 2 and 3 (MAC, RLC, PDCP, RRC, NAS interfaces) for LTE and 5G NR
- Implementation of new 3GPP releases and features, e.g. NTN (NR-NTN, NB-NTN), NB-IoT and eMTC
- Integration, testing and error analysis of signaling procedures with end devices
- Collaboration in international teams at multiple locations
Requirements
- Several years of experience in the development of protocol stacks for LTE and/or 5G NR, ideally on the network side or with base station emulators
- Sound knowledge of 3GPP specifications
- Very good knowledge of C/C++ and embedded development under Linux
- Experience with mobile radio test technology or testers (e.g. base station simulators) is a big plus
- Experience with NTN, NB-IoT or eMTC is a plus
- Very good English, German desirable
