QA Inspector – Steel Construction & Piping (m/f/d)

Project overview

For a long-term major project in industrial plant construction, we are looking for an experienced QA Inspector for quality assurance and monitoring of manufacturing, assembly, and installation in the areas of steel construction, piping, and general construction.

You will conduct independent on-site inspections, accompany manufacturing and assembly processes, and ensure compliance with technical specifications, standards, and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

We expect at least 5 years of professional experience in QA/QC or construction supervision in steel and plant construction. Welding qualifications, NDT knowledge, and familiarity with relevant standards (EN 1090, EN ISO 3834, EN ISO 5817, etc.) are required. Experience in LNG, Oil & Gas, or petrochemical projects is an advantage.

• Monitoring of steel construction, piping, and assembly work
• Performing visual weld seam inspections with documentation
• Checking welding process parameters and documentation
• Controlling preheating, interpass, and post-weld heat treatment processes
• Evaluating test reports (X-ray, ultrasonic, magnetic particle, penetrant testing)
• Dimension, tolerance, and geometry checks
• Checking bolted connections and preloads
• Inspecting coatings and surface preparation
• Creating and tracking inspection reports and deviation notifications
• Coordinating inspection points and release processes
• Interface management with subcontractors and departments
