Experienced welding engineer or piping QA supervisor needed for quality assurance of welding work on a heat accumulator and associated piping systems in the energy and infrastructure sector.
Project overview
For our client in the energy and infrastructure sector, we are looking for an experienced welding engineer or piping QA supervisor for the quality assurance of welding work on a heat accumulator and associated piping systems.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring of welding work in piping and steel construction
- Ensuring compliance with quality requirements and standards
- Examination of welding documentation and manufacturing documents
- Control of welding procedures, welder qualifications, and material certificates
- Accompanying pressure tests and acceptances
- Documentation of quality deviations and follow-up of corrective actions
- Conducting site and manufacturing inspections
- Coordination with suppliers, manufacturers, and project participants
Requirements
- Qualification as a welding engineer (SFI/IWE) or comparable training
- Several years of experience in the quality assurance of piping or steel construction projects
- Knowledge of the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED/DGRL) and relevant regulations
- Experience in examining welding documentation
- Knowledge of NDT/ZfP methods is an advantage
- Experience with pressure tests, acceptances, and manufacturing supervision
- Willingness to travel to manufacturing sites
